Cheerleading and Tumbling

Winter/Spring Semester – 19 Weeks.  Classes run January 7, 2013 to May 24, 2013
Summer 9 week Mini-mester – Classes run June 3, 2013 to August 9, 2013

Registration for summer classes will be open on April 29, 2013

Cheerleading is not just cheering for other sports anymore… it’s the fastest growing sport for girls and boys today!   All Cheer classes will teach tumbling, cheer conditioning, flexibility, strength and endurance training.

Basic Cheer

In this one hour Basic Cheer class, athletes will learn the basic of tumbling: rolls, handstands, limbers, cartwheels and roundoffs, as well as,  jumps and arm movements.  Conditioning  and flexability are also emphasized.

Intermediate Cheer


Cheer Tumbling Intermediate is a one hour class for cheerleaders who can already do a handstand, cartwheel and back limber but wish to learn a back handspring. This class will focus on proper technique for back handsprings, roundoff back handspring and lead-up drills for flipping. Strength and flexibility training will also be included.

Cheer  Advanced

This class takes the basics learned in Beginner and Intermediate and perfects technique and strength to teach advanced tumbling skills such as roundoff back handsprings, back flips and twisting. Students must have a standing back handspring to enter this one hour class.
